Southern Indiana's new Greenway Corridor
The New Albany section of the Greenway Corridor will begin at the City's eastern edge at Silver Creek. A new bridge will allow pedestrians and bicyclists a direct route along the Ohio River cars will not be allowed over the bridge . The Scribner Place/Floyd County YMCA project includes plans for a brand new Floyd County YMCA, Natatorium with pedestrian access to the Ohio River and the Ohio River Greenway, residential spaces and a hotel are also in planning.

Indiana Main Street Program Overview
Develop New Albany has been officially recognized as an Indiana Main Street Active Community. Indiana Main Street encourages the revitalization and restoration of downtown areas in Indiana cities and towns. The Indiana Main Street Four Point Approach involves Design, Organization, Promotion and Economic Restructuring.
Develop New Albany is affiliated with Historic Landmarks of Indiana.
The Develop New Albany Organization was founded in 1990 by community-minded individuals and business leaders, Develop New Albany is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the economic revitalization, preservation, and promotion of Downtown New Albany. A volunteer-based organization, Develop New Albany accomplishes this mission by adhering to the tenants of the National and Indiana Main Street models which focus on the areas of economic restructuring, design, promotion, and organization.
